Working as an IT Support Technician - Course assessment

Learn how to locate, diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software in this free online course.

Working as an IT Support Technician

Are you interested in a versatile and in-demand career in which you help organisations and individuals to overcome their technological issues with computer systems and networks? This course explores the fundamental duties of information technology (IT) support technicians and explains how they ensure the safe and efficient working of computer systems. We go through the common issues faced in IT work and explain how to apply effective solutions.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Problem Solving at State Space Search

Uniformed Search

In this module, you will learn about the ideas and works that have influenced the growth of artificial intelligence. You will also learn about what makes artificial intelligence programming different from general computational paradigms.

Heuristic Search

Informed Search

Constraints Satisfaction Problems

In this module, you will learn about what heuristics are, how heuristics could be formulated for a given problem, and certain properties of heuristics. You will also learn about how problem solving can be used in state space search.

Search AND / OR Graphs

Game Playing

Minimax + Alpha Beta

In this module, you will learn about how solution to smaller problems
has to be accomplished in order to complete the solution of the original problem in artificial intelligence. You will also learn about how games have been an integral part of the development of artificial intelligence.

Introduction to Knowledge Representation

Propositional Logic

In this module, you will learn about the introduction of formal logics as
knowledge representation formalism for Artificial Intelligence. You will also learn about how knowledge representation in reasoning forms the backbone of any intelligent behaviour through computational means.

First Order logic I

First Order Logic II

In this module, you will learn about how first order logic also called predicate logic for first order predicate calculus is a language co-opted by the artificial intelligence community for knowledge representation purposes.

Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence - First Assessment

You must score 80% or more to pass this assessment.

Inference in First Order Logic I

Inference in First Order Logic II

Answer Extraction

Procedural Control of Reasoning

In this module, you will learn how inferences are used as a process of arriving at new sentences from existing sentences. You will also learn about how conceptualization consists of the objects functions and relations.

Reasoning Under Uncertainty

Bayesian Network

Decision Network

In this module, you will learn about how logical approach can be adapted to work for domains that have uncertain knowledge, and domains that involve some form of uncertainty.

Introduction to Planning

Plan Space Planning

Planning Graph and Graph Plan

In this module, you will learn about how planning in its abstract form can be seen as problem solving. You will also learn how planning is used for problem solving by searching through abstract space of plans.

Practical Planning and Acting

Sequential Decision Problems

Making Complex Decisions

In this module, you will learn about algorithms that exploit construction of plans called the hierarchical task network planning. You will also learn about sequential decision problems which involve utility, uncertainty, and generalizing the search planning problems.

Introduction to Machine Learning

Learning Decision Trees

In this module, you will learn how machine learning addresses the fundamental question of how to build computer programs that could learn automatically from experience.

Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence - Second Assessment

Diploma in Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence - Final Assessment

This free online course on Alison takes you through the rudiments and fundamentals of artificial intelligence.

Diploma in Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence

This free online course will be of great interest to students and individuals who have requisite background knowledge of computer programming and science. The course describes how artificial intelligence is used to tackle complex real world problems like speech recognition and machine translations. By the end of this course, you will be able to use artificial intelligence techniques to solve computational problems using real life scenarios.
